Dan Aeschliman

President

Dan is the president of Commercial Irrigation Inc, founding the company on January 1, 1987, and taking part in its first golf course irrigation project in 1989. Since that time and with help from an incredibly dedicated staff, Dan has grown Commercial Irrigation Inc into one of just a few Golf Course Irrigation Contractors regarded for the highest quality workmanship and for keeping to the highest professional standards of the Golf Irrigation Industry.

Now, 35 years later, Commercial Irrigation Inc continues to install the highest quality irrigation systems for its clients throughout the Midwest and Central United States. In 1991, Dan became an Irrigation Association - Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC). In 1993, Dan became a Journeyman Plumber licensed in the State of Illinois. In 2006, Dan became an Irrigation Association - Certified Golf Course Irrigation Designer (CID). Dan is a long-time member of the American Society of Irrigation Consultants (ASIC) and the Irrigation Association.

Tony Scachette

Vice President

Tony Scachette is the head of Project Management for Commercial Irrigation Inc. Tony’s career started with Commercial Irrigation Inc in May of 1987, and since that time Tony has been involved in all aspects of irrigation installation and construction, including golf course irrigation, water source and pumping systems and pond aeration, controls, and programming. Tony is OSHA-30, HDPE Pipe, and Fitting Fusion Certified.

Commitment to the client is Tony’s top priority. Tony understands that a new irrigation system or renovation will likely be the single largest investment an owner will make into a golf course and it’s our commitment to provide our clients with the highest quality in the industry.

Jim Cassidy

General Manager, Golf/Large Turf

Jim is the General Manager of the Golf Division for Commercial Irrigation Inc. Jim began his career at Commercial Irrigation Inc right out of college in 1988, working as a golf course installation technician on one of Commercial Irrigation Inc’s first golf projects. Eventually earning his Plumbers license through the Illinois Department of Public Health in 1998, Jim has worked in all aspects of the business, from installation to estimating, project management, and design.

Along with being a licensed plumber, Jim also holds several OSHA certifications, including OSHA-30 General Construction, Excavation Competent Person, and Confined Space Competent Person. Jim is certified by both McElroy University and ISCO Industries in all types of HDPE Pipe fusion.

Randy Hunsicker

Project Manager, Golf/Large Turf

Randy has been with Commercial Irrigation Inc since 2009. He worked summers and winters while earning his bachelor's degree in construction management at Western Illinois University. In 2013, Randy became full-time, working in irrigation installation and service.

In 2015, Randy moved to management, helping run crews and perform residential and commercial estimating. In 2022, Randy started to become familiar with the Golf industry as growing demand required more focus on the golf division of the company. 

Mike Saliwanchik

Golf Service Manager

Mike Saliwanchik, our Large Turf Irrigation Service Manager, has almost 50 years of experience in the irrigation industry. Mike has a degree in landscape horticulture from Michigan State University and numerous manufacturer certifications in various products and technologies used in irrigation. He has taught training classes for major manufacturers and industry groups, as well as at the community college level.

He has earned a certification in landscape irrigation design (CID) from the Irrigation Association and is a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA). Mike has been involved in landscape irrigation installation and maintenance, agricultural irrigation system design, and golf irrigation design maintenance and repair.
